• Pantry Items Data: Information about food items you add to your pantry (names, quantities, dates, notes, barcodes)
• Account Information: Email address (if you enable cloud sync)
• Payment Information: Processed securely by Google Play - we do not store credit card information
• Settings & Preferences: Your app settings, language preferences, and notification preferences

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers
• Usage Data: Features you use, app performance data, crash reports
• Camera Access: Only when you use barcode scanning (images are not stored)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the app's core functionality
• Process your Pro version purchase through Google Play Billing
• Send expiry notifications for your pantry items
• Sync your data across devices (if you enable cloud sync)
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Respond to your support requests

3. Data Storage & Security

3.1 Local Storage

All your pantry data is stored locally on your device by default. This data is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.

3.2 Cloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable cloud sync:

• Data is encrypted during transmission
• You control your own WebDAV server
• We do not have access to your synced data

3.3 Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

We use the following third-party services:

4.1 Google Play Services

• Purpose: In-app purchases, payment processing

4.2 Open Food Facts API

• Purpose: Barcode product information lookup

• Data Shared: Barcode numbers only (no personal information)

4.3 AI Services (Optional)

• Purpose: Recipe suggestions (only if you enable and configure)
• Your Responsibility: You provide your own API key and manage your own AI service account
• Data Shared: Your pantry item names (only when you request recipes)

5. Your Data Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View all data stored by the app in Settings → Data Management
• Export: Export your data to CSV or Excel format
• Delete: Clear all data at any time in Settings → Clear All Data
• Opt-Out: Disable notifications, cloud sync, or AI features at any time

6. Children's Privacy

PocketPrepping is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. The app is designed for household food management and does not contain age-inappropriate content.

7. Data Retention

• Local Data: Retained on your device until you delete it
• Purchase Records: Maintained by Google Play per their policies
• Support Communications: Deleted after issue resolution (typically 90 days)

8. International Data Transfers

Your data is primarily stored on your device. If you use cloud sync, data is transferred to your chosen WebDAV server. We do not control the location of third-party servers you choose to use.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Showing an in-app notification for material changes
• Requiring acceptance of new terms before continued use (for major changes)
